Can I crop an image into a circle?
Yes. Select Circle, move the selection over the image and adjust its size. Download the resulting PNG with transparent corners.
Can I crop a square image?
Yes. Select Square to keep the crop area at a 1:1 aspect ratio.
Can I manually move and resize the crop area?
Yes. You can drag the crop selection to reposition it and drag its corner handles to resize it. Keyboard controls are also available.
Does cropping reduce the image quality?
The cropped area is exported as a PNG, which uses lossless encoding. However, cropping removes pixels outside the selection, and the crop boundaries are rounded to whole pixels. The tool cannot restore detail already missing from the original image.
Can I crop images on my mobile phone?
Yes. The responsive interface supports touch dragging and resizing. The selection can also be repositioned using the on-screen arrow buttons.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. This widget processes image files locally in your browser and does not upload their contents.
